HP is working on to make all new HP computers able to run two OS systems. HP CEO has stated that all new computer models will run Win 7, and, WebOS. Since HP has acquired Palm, HP has slowly started to integrate Palm with HP. However, HP does not seem ready to make Palm as the main brand within their system.
Each computer will have a dual booting option, allowing the user to select which OS to boot up. While dual boot is gaining popularity, most users use Linux as the second option. However, HP could be starting a new trend for computer manufactures, and, webOS. Many of you may know that dual booting is a popular option among power users. However, most use a dual boot with Linux or another Windows OS.
HP has not released when the feature will be included on new PCs. HP bought Palm last year, when Palm was put on the market. Slowly HP is eliminating the Palm brand on the products that Palm created.
What are you thoughts on this? Do you think this is exciting news that could change the face of computing? I find this exciting news! I cannot wait to see how it will work when it finally comes out.
